Description

For ~amauzume21

Redesign of Sunflower, a Disney black centaur girl from Fantasia's Pastoral Symphony ([link]). In the original edition, Sunflower and other 2 girls were depicted as servants who attended to the other (white) maids needs. Recently, these characters were removed from the piece due to their racist symbolism.

I think the Pastoral Symphony is still a beautiful piece and must be thought in the time it was created. Never the less, Sunflower deserved a chance to be "redesigned" not as a servant but as any of the other maids, so here she is. :)

Hope you like her!

I was apparently a very dumb kid. I watched it and assumed Sunflower was someone's little sister (because none of the cenataur-mares were the same color I figured she just resembled a different parent. After all, I lived near horses and they rarely look the same as their siblings with different studs used) or a younger neighbor kid that was tagging along or being babysat by the older mares. (Which is also something that horses do, you'll see a bunch of last years' mare foals with a baby or two that was born this year. They'll play with each other or with the baby, but they're always gentler with the baby.)

I was shocked the first time I saw the Pastoral Symphony censored.

I LOVE your reimagining of her, although I admit it doesn't strike the "baby sister" vibe the original did. But horses grow up (after 50+ years she must have) and she is LOVELY!
